Kentuckiana Pastoral Counseling Consortium
A professional community of pastoral counselors striving for the responsible integration of psychotherapeutic theory & theological reflection through training, education, and supervision.
The mission of the Kentuckiana Pastoral Counseling Consortium is to provide pastoral counseling trainees a state-approved training program to integrate clinical experience, theoretical understanding, theological reflection, and clinical supervision; and to engage in research for the advancement of pastoral counseling and clinical supervision.
"It is not the “what” or “how” of pastoral counseling that is most important. Fundamentally it is a question of identity: who—and whose—are you when you are a pastoral counselor? Not problem-solving, but attention to feelings, unconditional regard, and a gracious nonchalance are some of the marks of the counselor as pastoral."
